He provides both robotic and open kidney and pelvic surgery dealing with complex tertiary referral patients. He is the current chair of the EAU prostate cancer panel and previous chair of the Urology SAC

Dr. Ioannis Kartalas Goumas is a urologist and head of the Urology Unit of the Beato Matteo Clinical Institute.
He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1995, where in 2000 he obtained the specialty in Urology.
The same year he obtained an internship in Endourology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York.

From 2010 to 2018 he was medical director with first aid duties and deputy director in the Urology department at the Vimercate Hospital.
From 2016 to 2019 he was head of the Simple Endourology Structure and director of the Urology department at the Vimercate Hospital.
Dr. Goumas has performed more than 4000 operations as first operator.
He has performed highly complex operations of surgery:
- endourology for complex kidney stones,
- endourology for prostatic hypertrophy.
Dr. Gοumas specializes in the treatment of complex ureter strictures using ureteral bypass, endoprosthesis, and laser surgery.
He has gained management and organizational experience in the departments of Urology, budget management, cost-effectiveness analysis of the use of new technologies.

Mr. Rogers, M.Ch., M. Med. Sci., LLB (Hons), F.R.C.S.I., F.R.C.S. (Urol), Dip. Urol. Oncol. (Baylor) is an experienced and award-winning urologist and clinical advisor with a track record spanning over 25 years. In 1999, in conjunction with his colleagues, he received the Aneurin Bevan Award for exemplary management of urology patients at Central Middlesex Hospital, London. He is a former president of the Irish Society of Urology (2017-2018). His current positions include the following: National Clinical Advisor in Urology to Irish Healthcare System (HSE), Lead Urologist in the National Cancer Control Programme (Ireland), and Consultant Urologist at the University College Hospital Galway (Ireland). He recently received an adjunct appointment to the Department of Urology, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine, USA.
He is a member of the following Societies: Irish Society of Urology, European Association of Urology, American Urological Association, and Société Internationale d’Urologie. His track record includes more than 40 peer-reviewed publications. Throughout his career, he was responsible for formal and informal tuition of both undergraduates and fellow postgraduates at University College Hospital Galway, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Baylor College of Medicine and University of Dublin, Trinity College. He presented at regular surgical meetings and was responsible for unit presentations at clinical, radiological and histopathology conferences.

He is a past president of International Spinal Cord Society, ESSIC, and the previous editor in chief of Spinal Cord and Spinal Cord Series & Cases for 11 years. He was treasurer of International Continence Society for 10 years..
He is author of 649 publications in peer reviewed international and national journals, 33 chapters in books and editor of 4 books.
He has been awarded several national and international prices, and is Grand Officer in the Order of the Crown of Belgium. He is Lieutenant-Colonel (retired) in the Medical Services of the Belgian Armed Forces.
